AP04 POS Terminal

AP04 is POS terminal hardware for retail counter projects. Start with the counter layout, operator position and devices that must remain within reach. Screen selection and the computer configuration should follow the POS software requirements and the approved hardware sample.

Keep the checkout area usable

Measure the available counter depth and the space needed for the printer, scanner and card payment terminal. Plan cable exits so that connectors are not pulled when equipment is moved for cleaning. If customer display output is needed, define the content and screen position with the software provider. Agree on whether the application needs internet access for normal checkout and how it recovers after a disconnection.

Check daily handling before rollout

Have the operator perform the normal checkout workflow on the sample. Check touch response, screen readability, scanner input and access to printer paper. Confirm the same device connections after restarting the terminal. Use the resulting layout and configuration record when requesting quantities for additional stores.

Software and integration responsibilities

POS software licensing, store data and payment processing are separate from the terminal hardware. Confirm who prepares the system image, installs drivers and connects each peripheral. Software compatibility should be accepted against the actual sample configuration, not an unrestricted compatibility claim.
